Our interdisciplinary team of scientists conducts research on thoracic surgical issues.
The focus of thoracic surgical research is tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. The edited topics are integrated into the inflammatory focus of the Medical Faculty of the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. An overview of the edited topics can be found here
As in the clinic, we also work closely with the research groups of cardiac surgery and pneumology in research. There are scientific cooperations with several other working groups on the campus and nationwide.
For students of the Medical Faculty of the Otto-von-Guericke University, experimental medical doctoral thesis are offered in our laboratory.
