Looking back on the UMMD Training Day 2025: A day full of insights and inspiration

On September 13, 2025, Magdeburg University Medical Center (UMMD) opened its doors for this year's training day under the motto “Project: Future.” Numerous young people took advantage of the opportunity to learn about the diverse training professions at UMMD and gain initial practical insights into working in the healthcare sector.

The event began with a short opening speech by Stephanie Günther, Director of the Training Center for Healthcare Professions, who warmly welcomed the visitors and gave an overview of the day.

Afterwards, participants were able to visit information stands to find out about all the training occupations, ask questions, and receive valuable tips from trainers, teachers, and trainees. The practical tours were particularly exciting, allowing guests to get to know the central operating room, radiology, and intensive care unit, among other things.

There was also a small cake sale, with proceeds going to the UMMD children's ward.

Magdeburg University Hospital would like to thank all visitors for their great interest and looks forward to welcoming many of these talented young people as new trainees in the near future.
